Appeal for help in tracing vulnerable man from Thames Ditton

Surrey Police is appealing for the public’s help in tracing a man in his 60′s who has gone missing from Thames Ditton.

Officers are growing increasingly concernedfor the welfare of Gunnay Kamal (who is known as ‘Tony’). Mr Kamal, 66, was last seen at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, 23 July at an address in Hampton Court Way.

Mr Kamal speaks with a Greek accent, has no teeth and only one eye (the left). He is described as having a Mediterranean appearance and is around 5ft 4”- 5ft 5” tall, with a thin build and closely cropped grey hair. He usually wears trousers and a shirt.

Officers believe that he may still be in the local area or he may have gone London, possibly Soho or Westminster (City of London).

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen Mr Kamal or a man matching his description to contact police as a matter of urgency.

A number of searches are being carried out in the local vicinity in a bid to locate him.
